In recent years, science has discovered what various peoples
have known for centuries: color and scent affect mood. Colors can have
a very strong effect on our emotions. Lighter colors like oranges, reds
and yellows can help to invigorate and stimulate, while more passive
colors such as blues and greens can aid in stress reduction and relaxation.
Scents (and the direct path they travel to the brain) can have an even
more powerful affect on mood and emotion. In fact, a whole discipline,
aromatherapy, has sprung up to study how scents can be used in a therapeutic
way to treat a wide range of maladies.
The blends below were designed with both of these ideas
in mind. We combined high-quality ingredients of specific colors with
the finest of essential oils (these are oils derived directly from the
plants themselves, instead of the cheaper synthetic fragrance oils that
are used in a lot of candles, potpourri and other items) to make a variety
